for why I've had 2 GT2530's fail on me within one year of installation on two different VG30DETT's. Both turbos showed signs of bearing failure and had similar deaths. The only thing constant between the two was the stock oil lines I observed when I removed them. This isn't a cocky response, I'm just saying, I haven't found any other causes, and I've been looking. My stock turbos are running fine with the same oil lines one the same engine that killed the second turbo. Unless HKS sent me bad turbos (which I'm not saying isn't possible, it's just not likely), the oil lines are the only reasonable cause. If you have any other ideas, I would honestly look into them to ensure that this doesn't happen to me again (I can't afford more turbo failure). Either way, I think you can agree with me that he should install the GT2530's with the provided oil lines (he'll have to use the return line, as it's a different line, but it'd be advisable to use all of them).
